type 81 LMG optics

I wouldn't bet on that. Tactical Imports has said "the end of this month" for like 3 months concurrently at this point. Id be highly impressed if we saw anything this month.

I got one in the works as well.... getting a quote with a machine shop as i type this... Mine will be a Warsaw Pact rail (SVD / AK side rail)

Looking forward to seeing what it looks like. Even if TI comes out with theirs first, I'll wait. I'm in no hurry, as my foldy already got glass on it, I just don't want to drill into my LMG's receiver.

Tactical imports mount was scheduled to be revealed at the end of May. Meanwhile I got mine made, i just need to test them a bunch before i make a large production run.

Looks solid. Are you going to make a reverse safety selector as well or use that replacement thingy that needs a screwdriver to operate?

That is a reverse 90 degree safety lever pictured, it just isnt complete yet. I need to silver solder a paddle into that slot. I thought that by doing it this way, id save big on CNC/material costs. However depending on how quick the silver solder process is for me, it may be better in the long run just to get the paddle CNCed into the design. Especially when considering that I may be making 100s of units in the future if the demand is there.

Perfect. I'm definitely buying one..

Shortly after the T81 became availble, I mounted a Warsaw pact rail on the left side. I cut off the selector lever and had it welded /remounted on the right side.
I dont know how Murray 3D addressed this , but thats how I did it.

Oops ! I posted before seeing Murray's solution.

Looks great! In case someone is unfamiliar with Murray 3-D's prior work, he has made some excellent videos on Red Rifles, including the "A Beginers Guide to Russian Side Mount Optics" posted below:

suggestion perhaps. can you leave the current slot and put a threaded hole in the middle to attach a leaver that way if someone wanted to fashion a bigger/smaller leaver they could? don't know if it would come loose or not tho

I thought of that, but would then need to drill a countersunk hole in the paddle. Its definitely an option that im also considering.
