For years I have tried to pull the hair from bear paw (foot), nut it has been so difficult. I had to waste the precious skin (cutting the skin off). I am wondering if you guys have some tricks to share.

I do not like burning the hair as the roots are left in the skin

You must be very careful when removing the hair from between the bear's toes. The best way to do this is as follows:
1. Ensure that the bear has been sufficiently sedated;
2. Separate the toes with an appropriately sized wedge (preferably a non sticking polymer plastic);
3. Apply a generous amount of hair removal cream such as: Nair, Veet, Brazilian Bum Bum Cream(yes it's a real thing), Neet, Neoman Hair Removal or Nads Sensitive Hair removal Cream. All these are of a non-burning nature so they will not upset the bear.
4. Using a soft bristled brush, gently massage in a circular motion all around & between the toes to exfoliate the follicles allowing the hairs to safely separate the epidermis;
5. Rinse the area with warm water to ensure all the cream has been removed to prevent any rash or chemical burn (despite Nr 3);
6. After all the hair has been safely removed, apply a good moisturizing cream to all affected areas;
7. Monitor the bear until it has sufficiently recovered from the sedation; and
8. Run like H3ll!

What a waste, both for the bear paws and your typing. None of you guys have any clue, just like me.
I will remove all the skin. Hence there will be no concern of the hair. If any of you (or most of you) have chosen to let the bear paws go to waste, shame on you!

There you go:

Personally, I would scape em and then roast with a bit of foot powder.

I have no clue what you're talking about. Can you tell us what you're trying to do and the reason behind it?

I want to enjoy what I harvest. By pulling off the hair, we can fully consume the bear paws. It took my friends several hours to pull the hairs last year, and they told me that they would not help me with that chore again. For a few racists in this thread, you are exposed. There is nothing wrong to consume as much as you can from what you harvest.

back to my question, I simply do not want to throw the think skin away from the paws. However, if I cannot find a way to pull the hair off, I have no choice.

Dip them in boiling water? I have heard of people doing this with pigs to scrape the hair off.

^ See OP another good advise. Make sure the bear is dead, though...

I once pulled hair from beaver but that was a long time ago!
