I’m trying to install a set Burris Zee Rings on Warne base. The rings look to be Weaver type but the rings seem not to slide on from the front or the rear. Do I need Burris bases.

Shouldn't need to slide them on, just back off the screws and place them on the bases where you want them by lining up the bars or screws on the rings with the slots on the bases. This all provided the rings and bases are weaver/picatinny.

Zee rings slide on, you remove the cross screw and slid them on the rail. The claw and base are one piece, they work well.

Ahhh...gotcha. I stand corrected. I have used Burris rings in the past, but not the Zee variety.

To the OP. Is there a small burr or imperfection on the bases or the rings preventing them from sliding freely?

Sometimes they need a little persuasion using a flat screwdriver in the slot of the the ring base to wedge it open a bit.

Try them from both ends of the mount. I've had a few sets that would only slide on one way, likely due to manufacturing tolerances. - dan
