Well it's been fun everyone, but I guess 22 years of staring into either a flourescent tube or a computer screen (animation) have done more to my eyes than I realised.....or maybe I'm just getting old. Anyway, dispite my best efforts I can't see my sights anymore so unfortunately this post marks my exit from Standard Division and the beginning of my transition back to Open. It is with a real sense of heartbreak that I have posted my brand new LC-2 for sale (sniff) elsewhere in this forum, but I take solace in the knowledge that an Eric model in 9mm major is in my near future.

Still, it sucks to have to sell off stuff you really love. And I hate admitting that I might possibly be mortal.

I have immensely enjoyed playing with all of you guys in Standard Division, and I wish I could have given you all a better run for your money this past year. But I KNOW I will see you all in Open someday when your eyes inevitably follow mine into the abyss. But by then I will have had more time to practice so I'll be ahead of you A-a-a-aha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Ahem.

See you on the ranges.

Funny how I e-mailed you this week about a quick patch solution you showed me last summer for "our aging eyes" to better see the front sight of our standard gun. Now, here you are bidding g-bye from Standard Div. You old man you:D:D:runaway:

Good luck and I guess welcome back to the open division. :)

Cheers!!

A temporay solution it seems. Father Time is patient, inexorable, and stomps everyone eventually. Bastard!

I would go to a good optomologist. If you have one that is good & it helps if they don't have a problem with guns then they can come up with a solution.

I have heard of people taking a toy gun with them to get the distance correct.

Oh, I took my whole top end in....four times. No joy. I can either see my sights or my targets, but can't see both well enough to be competitive beyond ten meters. No depth of field.

But do't worry; you'll get there. All of you will get there in due course...and then you will be mine! Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!

I had special glasses made that made the front sight clear and the target was also clear. The only problem was that the ground I walk on was no longer in the right place. Eventually quit using them.

Getting old sucks huge... knees, elbows, back...sight but all that really isn't so bad... it's when the little blue pills are required I would imagine when it'll really start to demoralize you.
Modified is an option to Open... you keep your equipment to where you are use to.. and you get a nice dot to boot....

Old, smould I am way older than all of you with a usless shoulder and bad knees and let's not talk about my left claw hand.........but it's all in your state of mind......when the buzzer goes let the adrenalin be your force.

Besides you never could see your way through a paper bag.

Anyways, welcome back to the dark ( actually enlightened, just seems dark to those who can't see past their front sight.) side.

It's not the age Mike. It's the mileage.
