Sellers remorse, tell your story

I have had some good deals & given some Great Deals
and I don't have any ''Sellers Remorse'' .
I Love all the guns that I Have & have all the Rifles that I desire 'cept the next one .

Only gun I somewhat regret selling is an M1 Garand. Bought it for $150 from Lever Arms. After a few years I wasn't using it much so sent it down the road although I made a considerable profit as prices had risen dramatically. Now sometimes wish I had a Garand, but not often enough to pay current prices for one. I still have a few en bloc clips lying around in the shop and every now and then I find them by accident and think "sure would be fun to hear the PING" :)

I bought the same gun at the same place in 1997. Was cheaper than and good pump shotgun at the time. My thought was if any bear could survive 8 rounds of 06 then I would swing the gun at it. I carried that rifle everywhere for many years. Alas, as I got older a shotgun took its place for the outdoor activities, but every once in a while she comes out to show some youngins what real men carried and always big smiles after the last round with that ping. My only regret is I couldn't afford more of them at the time.

The list is too long, from the mid 80's to late 90's I worked in the retail gun business so had lots of interesting things come through the door.
I bought, traded and sold too many nice rifles to remember couldn't afford to keep them all but wanted them all.

The top regrets that haunt me still

Custom Husqvarna 9.3 X 68
William, Moore and Grey Lee Speed 303
Farquharson 303 Single
Braddell & Son 12 Ga

I bought a browning 45/70 1886 sporter rifle when the first came out then sold it as I lost interest in hunting a few years later after my hunting partner my grandfather died. When I gained my interest in hunting back a couple of years after that I sorely regretted selling that gun.Luckily I just recently bought another browning 1886 sporter in mint condition that probably only had one box of ammo through it.This one I ll never sell and I ll taking her out come this years deerseason

Steyr , mannlicher skip checkered full wood stock , detach rotary mag, hammer forged barrel , double set triggers , butter knife bolt handle in .308 . Wtf was I thinking ...

Sold my Winchester 1895 .303. Several years later I saw it for sale and bought it back. A few months later I sold it again. No remorse the 2nd time.

:)Just picked one up a short while back!! Figured it was something ;) I needed and the plan is to use it, and/or a full wood Lipsey model Ruger M-77 Hawkeye in 7x57, locally on 'Island Blacktail':d.

Steyr Elite, needed the cash at the time, shame. Moreso its the guns I could have had but didnt have the money at the time, Sauer 202s, Ithaca Mag 10, etc.

Sold a unfired 1983 browning micro medallion in 7-08, about 7-8-9 years ago, by far the nicest stocked factory rifle I had owned. I really wanted a Sako finnlight, so I reluctantly sold the micro medallion to fund one (asked $1200, lasted 1/2 a day).

Right away, I sent the E transfer for the finnlight, only to find out he was a scam artist. Lost $1500, my micro medallion, not to mention my PAL and DL. The bastard keeps trying to use my ID still to this day.

Huge seller remorse!

On that note, if anyone recognizes this rifle (I believe I sold it on here) I’d buy it back in a heartbeat, even if it has been fired.

Must have been a different site. You've only been a member here for 4 years.

I had a marlin 336 30-30 with peep sights.
Traded it on here for a bow.
Got burned buy the other seller.
Stripped the good stuff off and put cheap stuff on.
Then gave me some Bonus brodheads loose in the box that cut the string in shipping.

Then he stopped replying to pms

Why did you not leave negative feedback? Could prevent someone else getting scammed.

- Stainless Ruger M77 Mark II RS in laminate thumbhole stock in 243. Was like new. Beautiful rifle and should have kept it.
- Winchester 94 from around late 70s and early 80s. I got it for very very cheap. Wood was in a very bad shape but metal was like new all around. I sold it also for very cheap but I should have kept it.
