Just wanted to share with you our finished project.
The photos hear are of the completed prototype without the finish.
Finish will be a Mil spec type3 black anodizing.
Except for the retaining nut which is stainless steel.
This item was made exclusively for The shooting edge.
The "TSE Adaptor plate" as it will be know will allow you to use any remington 870 style buttstock on the Fabarm line of pump and semi auto shotguns.
With our intent for it to be used with the Knoxx comp stock system.
A lot of work was involved in this item as the Remington and the Fabarms frames are not the same size, as well the fabarms is metric and flat on the back of the frame and the Remington is inch.
This made it quite a challenge to blend the two sizes of frames, keep it low profile enough to allow any shooter to reach the trigger but still strong enough to work 100%.
The adaptor plate also has a single point sling mount on the side.
The adaptor has had 1000,s or round of testing and over 30 different shooters.
All found the system easy to use, most made comment on the space from the back of the trigger guard to the underside of the Knoxx stock.
This is part because of the thickness of the plate and also some of the space is needed for the Knoxx stock to do its thing.
The smallest person to shoot the test guns were 115lb 5ft1" female.
She found the lightness of the gun and the pistol grip stock a big change over the Remington 870.
She also has no issue reaching the trigger.
Before anyone asks this is a Pat pending item.
Your feedback on what you see in the photos would be good.

Way to go Simon! :D

That's just fantastic.

What an awsome innovation. Really happy to see that.

... and Canadian made. :)

I wouldn't be surprized if the Italians reach you direct for this.

This is a winner I'm sure.

Congratulations on bringing this great piece of gear to market.

I fired the TSE Fabarm SAT-8 range gun that was fitted with your (non-single point equipped) prototype, and it's a great combination. Even with all the rounds that go through the range gun, and the abuse that it must suffer, it felt rock solid.

Hopefully it won't be too long before I can buy mine :)

Very good to hear of someone that has shot the TSE test gun!!
Redleg did say it shot very well with the SAT-8, my 1st time shooting the SAT-8 was when TSE had a range day hear in ontario, i loved it, it shot as good and as fast at my Bennilli M1 super 90 but the recoil pad was not really up to it.
The big long forends and the soft butt pads are the only thing i do not like about the fabarm shotguns.
As my fabarms holds a tighter patten even in Cly bore then any other shotgun i own, and i do have alot of them!
looks like i have fixed the butt stock issue, ill have to get working on a railed for end for this summer

Thanks alot easy.
Well things cost a hell of alot to make in canada so if you going to be in the market of makeing stuff, the only thing to do it to make the parts the best on the market and not the cheapest, this is the same thing we did with our other single point sling plates and the reason i got in volved with the Brobee stock adaptor.
I see little market in canada for makeing cheap stuff, if we want cheap then we go to china.
If its got "made in canada" on it i want it to be the best it can be.
Oww and TSE will have the world wide exclusive to the fabarms stock adaptor plate to start with.
So all sales will go via them.

A lower profile railed fore end for the Fabarms...that'd definitely make it onto my Christmas list for the silly season in '08!

You know...I kinda like these goodies that you're coming up with. Maybe you can call up Santa and work out a partnership with him. He'll supply you with CNC equipment and the skilled, low-paid elves to operate it. You'll supply him with goodies for distribution to all the shotgun-oriented CGN'ers out there.

The only problem will be distribution. Getting the product delivered to him in a timely manner will be difficult, given the prices for air freight to the North!

Just got off the line with santa, he needs me to send him up a fabarms with a knoxx stock, as hes heading to East Van nexed week and his shoulder is a little stiff as he just got in from a trip to Young st :)

Hey Simon, after installing your regular sling plates on a couple of my shotguns I had a thought - Is there any way you could attach a "trigger guard filler piece" onto your adapters to take up the space? Or even just include a molded polymer spacer that could be installed if wanted? I'm guessing that a high percentage of the buyers are using some kind of PG stock, most likely a Knoxx.

How does the trigger reach feel?
In your EE picture it looks like a bit of a stretch.

It really is not as bad as it look.
Like i say, if a 115lb 5ft1" female can shoot it without any problems i think just about any shooter can use it.
Lenght of pull with a pistol grip stock is alot drfferent then a standard stock, because of the angle of the hand.

I had similar thoughts before I tried it.

The gap between the trigger guard and the stock does not hinder your middle finger like on an AR15 where the "Gapper" was devised to solve this discomfort.

With BBB's sling adapter installed, your grip is further back in a way that your middle finger doesn't come into contact with this gap. Actually, the adapter sets the buttstock further back enough so that the pad of your index finger lands right on the trigger.

Cheers.

I am a big fan of adapters :D

Product look great and when anodized will look even better... sure there is a gap, but, you are putting a Remington Stock on a Fabarms shotgun. :) Acceptable gap.

Which model of FABARMS does this fit exactly? (please list all) Never mind, I just re-read the first post.

When will these be available to buy?

Nice work.
