Woody box trailcam pics 2021

Had my cameras out for just over a month. Got some great pictures. Birds are settling in now, I have 16/16 with a hen sitting or eggs in box along one area!
We also put up 22 boxes in a new area, close to 150 out now (Vancouver area). Friend gave us a large amount of cedar cut on an Alaska Mill. We cut it into boards and made 37 new boxes. Had our kids and grandkids help out.

I’ve put 2 out but nothing in them yet going to build more. What are you using for mounting poles?

We use 8’ or 10’ steel poles in either 2 1/2” or 3”.
You never know what’s going on at your nestbox site without a game cam. I’ve checked them all and nothing, didn’t see a duck along the route I take.... But the camera pics show the real story, very motivating to keep us moving forward with the project!

Again, great you taking the time to build, set out and check back on these nest boxes.
On a slightly different note in Salmon Arm someone has destroyed many Barn Swallow nest boxes and I hope the catch the bugger.

Lots of plans on the internet for building. 3”x4” oval if my memory is correct
