Most overrated rifle

I'm going with Winchester 94.
Yes they're a solid rifle, a product of their time and there are millions out there. The 3030 is great for close range whitetail, everything matches up.

But the marlin was and is a better gun. And it isn't rated nearly as highly

Winchester '73 was the gun that won the west.

The '92 was endorsed by John Wayne in his movies.

So it's just natural that the '94 won the popularity contest(on looks alone) against Marlin.;)

I read that the Remington 700 has killed and injured enough people to be not only over rated, but an absolute tragedy that Remington ever sold it. And they were too cheap to recall all the known models with proven fatal flaws.

Got any data to back up your claims? Or do you want to just stick with you read it somewhere?

Remington 700. A mediocore rifle with a massive following for unknown reasons along with a massive aftermarket to make it good(by which point you might as well have bought a custom rifle to start with). A favourite of the fudds, and the moment you try a comparably priced tikka side by side with any of them at basically any store you wonder what the hype is about.

Another guy who doesnt know what he's talking about!
The few tikkas I've seen didn't even shoot straight, short plastic magazines. Not a reloaders rifle for sure.

Ruger PC Carbine... clunky and does nothing great.

What it does best is not be prohib like a Beretta CX4 :)

They also:
Take Glock mags
Takedown easily
Are accurate.
Better trigger than a stock CX4

I like the Rugers generally, as a fun plinking gun. They are not innovative and as compact as a CX4 nor do they have AR type controls that are desirable to many people.

Tikka T3. It's not a bad gun. They are usually accurate and have that smooth bolt that so many are enamored of. But it's always been overpriced for what it is.

Remington 700's have been around for a long time and have had high and low points in their tenure. I haven't owned a 700 for many years but the ones built during high point are excellent rifles. The low point ones are not, simple as that.

I see your Tikka and raise the bet to Wichita 1375.
