Hey Revolver types:

Can't find much on Google but interested if anyone has their finger on the pulse for the above mentioned?

Cheers,

HKS 586-A canada

or 586 canada

I picked up 5 Safariland speed loaders for mine from Williams Arms in Port Perry a year or two ago. I like them. The long handled ones likely would be better, but I could not find them at the time.

I found that the rubber combat grips did interfere, and I had to modify the upper left side of the grip a fair bit to get the clearance I needed. Not a big deal.

I had been loading DRG 158gr SWC, but they don't work all that well, so I switched to 158 gr DRG Round Nose, flat point. These work very well.

I just ordered 3 HKS speed loaders from Brownells in the U.S. on may 10th
waiting for shipping to Canada
which reminds me I should check the tracking on those...

still nothing no tracking since may 15. cleared customs.... HMMMMM

yup, my gp100, model 19 and 586 all work with the same speed loader.
That's interesting as the 19 is a "K" frame and the 586 is an "L" frame and both Safariland and HKS list separate speedloaders for those two frame sizes. The GP100 uses the same loader as the "L" frame. I'm not saying the same speedloader can't be made to work with both frame sizes but it would be far from ideal and make quick reloads for the wrong frame size difficult.

I doubt it - the 19 is a K-frame and uses a smaller speed-loader than the L-Frames or the GP100. K-frame from HKS is the 10-A while from Safariland it is the JK2C, The HKS for the 5/686 or the 5/681 is the 586 model while the Safariland is (I believe) JL2C...

ETA - read the whole thread before posting Blake...
