This mite not be the right place to do this , But all party's involved are on this board so here goes.
This has to do with the resent nomination ballades for the IPSC Ontario board. It has come to my attention that there is a rumor circulating out there that I never sign a certain members ( I will not use this persons name in a public forum . You can P.M for the name if any one cares to know or he can identify him self. ) nomination form ( he is on the board as we speak ).
Let me clear the air. I SIGN THE NOMINATION BALLADE.
This is how this all got started. At the last Burlington level 2 match a board member ask me if I would sign his nomination ballade. I happily agreed and sign his ballade , this is were the problem occurred ( and this is it in nut shell )
I wrote down the wrong black badge no. that is it.
Three days later I received a phone call from the member I sign his ballade informing me that the election chairman has told him that the black badge no. does not match my name and further more that he does not believe that I sign the ballade. HE ask me to phone the election chairman and clear this up. So that is what I did.
This his how the phone call went .
I phoned the election chairman and inform him that I did sign the said nomination ballade that i have not memorized my black badge no. and put down the wrong no.
That is when he inform me that the no. does not match my name. I once again told him that I did not remember my number and did not have my black badge with me. This is when he questions me if I really did sign the forum. I once again told him what had happen. This when the election chairman tells me the he wants me to fax him My name , address , and signature and that he will decide if I was the one that signed the form. Feeling rather insulted and more than a little pissed at his last statement. I inform him that he all ready has my name , address and signature and if he has some thing he would like to ask me . With his lack of a response I informed him that I wold fax him and ended the phone call.
After I ended the phone call I faxed him every thing he asked me for.
At the triangle match I was told the the person that I sign the ballade for was disqualified because the election chairman decided that it was not me that sign the ballade. I was asked by this person not to pursue this any Moore. But after hearing rumors from several members of IPSC Ontario I can not keep my mouth shut ant more.
For the board of IPSC Ontario ( most are good hard working people , some well I think you can see how I feel ) you wounder why people keep leaving the sport. Maybe you should look within the board why people are leaving.
Sorry to be so long winded ( you should see how long it takes me to type this. ) but I hate seeing some one get screwed over and use me as the reason.
