So in addition to being illegal and unlicensed copies of guns developed by people who actually did the engineering and testing, the ethical violation of giving any money to a country run by a dictator who does business with ISIS, these things will also fail in ways you wouldn't think possible.

Pic below is from a Russian user who saved himself $200 compared to a properly engineered and manufactured design from a reputable manufacturer, but lost himself an eye and some important nerve connections in return.
Looks like a Sarsilmaz SAR9 but it could just as well be like one of those Canik (cynically sold here as "Canuck") things.

Translation of the text:

"A policeman in Turkey got injured while training at a range with a pistol manufactured in Turkey"

In here for the just as good crowd to pop in, telling us how great their discount bin lump of junk has been for their heavy 500 rounds they put through it.

You make assumptions or you have more text going along with it ?
Seem like an overpressure load..grip blew up....
This is a case of wearing eye protection while shooting too.

For copies...look at China..there is no licensing after awhile..NP22 / Sig 226, M305/M1, Beretta 92, Browning High power ect...

You use that accident to make political statements and opinions on a country to push your views. There is more Turkish gun around than maybe the cheap Chinese copies out there. Look at US made KelTec..cheap..your post is hogwash to try to make politics statement out of a gun accident for which the full story is not know.

Canik is no cheap gun..gun of the year in the US..made by a Turkish company involved in aerospace and defence production. No copy there. Original design.

Have you seen the picture of the S&W .44 mag blown up, a guy try to sell for parts in the EE last month ?
Anybody could use that picture to make the same statement you did about gun quality...
Have you seen the .50 BMG blow up on video on reloadernetwork ? Was an overpressure round..
The shooter substained major life threatening injuries but recovered.

Most blown up gun are ammo related, bore obstruction or gun monkeyed by joe bubba.

Yeah, looks like half the frame got blown off. That doesn't seem like a mechanical failure to me...

That gun is 100% not a Canuck, furthermore, Canik are also separate from Canuck, despite your ability to confuse two very different names and spelling. FYI, the actual pistol pictured is a Girsan MC 28.

Unfortunately the Political statement regarding the dictator and doing business with ISIS is quite true....I will never support anything from that country.
On another note, I firmly believe that there are differences in quality control from reputable European and American gun companies....for the most part.

Well, if thats how we are going to judge which guns we buy, better not buy anything Russian or Chinese - SKS, Norinco, T81, those are all out. They're the guns of Stalin and Mao.

Better not buy any K98s either, evil evil nazi guns that they are...

While we're at it, we hate the Democrats so we better not buy anything American Made right now. OR Canadian made for that matter, because we hate the Liberals right?

And here I thought people on CGN hated virtue signaling... I guess its only a bad thing when the other side is doing it?
