At the range yesterday and fired about 150 rounds. Had three light primer strikes. Other than that the rifle fuctioned fine. Examination of the three rounds showed significantly smaller dimple on the primer. Reloaded the three rounds and they cycled normally through the gun. Any idea what could be causing this?

Go for the obvious: check & clean action. Then check firing pin & mainspring for damage. Have owned mine for a few years now with no problems like this. Is it possible, it's crappy ammo? I know you said it fired on second attempt, but I have had this happen to me once with a bolt action and a couple of old milsurp loads.
non-corrosive ammo has soft primer so a dimple doesnt tell us that a striker hit the firing pin.
to remove a firing pin , you need to remove the extractor first, i use a pointy object like a center hole punch , the one with a handle, place bolt on a table and insert the punch above the extractor in the slot and press down hard, have someone move the extractor sideways, from there the firing pin should fall out.
putting the bolt back together again is equally difficult, i place the firing pin in the bolt first then insert a 1/4" thick bolt after it just to keep it in place, place it on the table then use the punch on the extractor and have someone place the extractor back in.
i personally use an extractor tool i have for another rifle.
