Midland Single-Shot 12 gauge - where to buy and thoughts.

Does anyone know of a store that has a Midland Single-Shot Backpack 12-gauge 18.5" model in stock? I am having no luck finding one.

In some ways a single-shot 12 gauge is not ideal, high recoil with stout loads. But I think with the advent of mini-shells this 12 gauge could be extremely useful. Having a lot of trouble finding one though.

I'd have a look at the Armed Sash Backpacker shotgun, a few vendors carry them. I got the 16" .410 from Westrifle and it's a riot. A 12 with mini shells would probably be a hoot, too.

Those look really appealing. I see the barrels go as short as 13", but at that length it almost seems like it could be longer without affecting packed size (because the barrel tip doesn't extend far towards back of stock in folded config). How do you feel about the 16" in terms of packability?
