I just wanted to start this thread for all the Sks lovers , no matter what kind they are.
I have a Norinco that cost me 180 brand new.
I love going to the range with my 180 dollar rifle and surplus ammo and shooting open sites a 200 yards and hitting the target when all those guys are there with thier thousands of dollar hunting rifles and scopes And Im still shooting just as good as them!
Its not the arrow its the Indian!
Sks's Rule!
And this thread is for all of us that know this!:50cal:

if you can do that then the army needs you in their sniper team.:D

Yeah , I like shooting with the iron sites , but the eye can only see so far.
What kind of scope are you using , I am thinking about getting one for my sks.
I know you can get some really good deals in the states for mounts and scopes. Things here are pretty expensive!

Cool thanks, so odo you have one of those mounts? It does kinda look cheap?

what do you expect for $9.50 ? a russian side mount? :D

the same one from the US will cost you more and then you have to pay (FRAUD ALERT) fee or MO fee, here you just charge it!!!

SKS Scope mount

Dang. I just bought one on that ever so popular auction site we all love for $35. Know more Canadian SKS supply spots?

Q

I just got a "Fitco" scope mount as well. It's actually an original Norinco (with box), and has really poor finish and a bit of rusting! Well for $9.50 you can't go wrong anyway, will match nicely with a Norinco SKS.

Cheers,
Alex

OK it sounds like we need another SKS Honor Match...maybe an open sight and also a scoped class. The winner last year (me :D) fired a 5 shot group of 2 1/4" with open sights at 100m.

Whaddya think??? If so we'll post it in a new thread.

Cheers

Hardly a hard shot.

Back in 2005 @ Ridgedale range, they had an open house in October.

I was hitting targets repeatively with a Norinco SKS at 50, 100 & even 200 yards.

Also hit same targets with a guys S&W PC627 and just about every other gun that was out that day.

People who say these guns suck, well I say you suck haha.

you can shoot just as good as a hunting rifle with a scope while you use an open sight and czech ammo? i guess the armys sniper team wants you too.:D

SKS scope mount.

Its actually not a bad mount. The screws at the bottom are to take the play our of the action cover. The mounts that don't have them allow the cover with the rings on it to move around a bit which diminishes the rifle/scope's accuracy potential.
