i have a brand new 700p with the H and S stock in the box and neaver fired. Iam thinking of selling it and am wondering on a price. its in as new. And if i keep it i want to start target shotting at 600+ yards. Iam in Newmarket Ont and what would i join to be in a compatishion shotter? and would there be eneyone around my aera willing to mentor me in this feat. Thanks.

That's basically what they sell for at full retail. Unless you're prepared to sit on it for a while, it more than likely won't be sold for that high of a price.

yes, i know its retail and i chose wolverine as a comparison cos they have the cheapest $1044, wholesale and SIR got them for $1130 , and epps got them for $1188.

a used one sell for $850-900 on EE so a never fired one should sell for $950-1000, basically the buyer saves on tax and a little bit.

I would say the bigger question is how much are you willing take a hit on for the sale? It's not a question of how much should you ask or how much is the gun worth, as opposed to how much are you willing to sell it for compared to what YOU PAID?

A previously owned gun is a previously owned gun, nobody is going to pay (not me anyways) as much as retail on a previously owned item.

That being said, lots of guys are looking for these so figure out how much you paid and what you are willing to sell it for and put it up for sale, it should sell quickly.

Is it .308?

Yes it’s a .308 but I think I will keep it. I was just wondering on a value it’s brand new in the box and never fired. I want to start shooting when iam finished college in a few weeks. so iam just wondering if I got a good price. I got it for $900. So it sounds like I did pretty well. I just need to find a scope and base/rings. Iam hoping to get them early in the New Year. I here a Harris bipod is about the best. Iam hoping to find a used one I think 75 dollars would be a good price for a used one.

Andygumpers,
I wonder if you qualify for the Remington rebate? There's $50 toward your bipod. I just bought one of these things myself, but can't remember if I paid $800 or $850. The total with Mark 4 scope, rings and bases, brass, tax etc was over $2400 so the rifle price got blurry in a hurry.

most of the rifles i own are not "near new" except for a 700P so when i tried to re-register it for warranty , i was told warranty is not transferable.:(
