I don't know how may times per year Tikka/Sako ships rifles to Canadian retailers? A few years ago when I was looking for a Tikka in a specific model that was sold out everywhere in Canada, my local gun shop special ordered it for me, and they said it would likely take a year to arrive. I thought this was reasonable because Tikka are in high demand worldwide as a very popular rifle. I would guess that the Tikka factory has a year's worth of order's that keep it very busy.
So my advice is if you cannot find it, place an order with a reputable dealer. Its in their interest to sell and make their profit, so they want it to arrive as much as you do and will make sure the order gets to where its supposed to go.
My local gun dealer was great. He quoted me the retail price for that year, and kept his promise the following year. I offered him a deposit to make the special order but he said not needed.
