it got me so pumped up on bush stalking again with old school guns, im going to be giving the Ruger a good run while the 30-06 is out of action..literally.

anyway good times -

There is something about carrying a set of skis through Sydney International Airport that has me longing for a return trip to Australia.
You know, where men are men and the sheep are nervous ;)
Thanks for the impressive pics WL, the contrast lighting is amazing in the first picture.

Nice, thanks for sharing. I did not know that snow could even fall in Australia. I always thought of Australia as being a desert basically, shows how wrong I am…

Looks like a nice hunt and glad you got to experience some snow too. Nothing better than fresh tracks that you know a deer is standing in somewhere just ahead!

hehe, it is basically a bloody desert! but theres a few mtns on the bottom East side that catch a few Snows !

"Thredbo" and Mt Hotham, are ski resorts ere. im between em.

generally falls up above 1200 most of the time, 1000 is a low.. this stuff landed at 400 asl.

Are you guys allowed to hunt with suppressors in OZ?

negative.

ive had a mate 'caught' on trail cam with his muzzle break taped up and he had investigators and police rock up to his door... mostly due to the tresspass but the "silencer" was in question lol...... 300win mag with a dirty big muzzle barker on it.

New Zealand.......... yep totally legal.

Cool! I didn't even know it snowed in Australia, learn something new every day!

Well, I had my suspicions because there is, or more precisely was, the Australian movie called "The Man From Snowy River" which you never get to see, except in the form of its sequel "Return To Snowy River."

The man himself is buried in the local Cemetary here, its a small town on the foothills of the main devide , roumers have it he spent most time on the other side ha ha

I love this thread, and seeing snow in Australia, and deer too. I thought there were only things in Oz that killed and ate you.

Are the deer big there in Oz. And is the hunting good? I hope the gun owners in Oz are still oiling their grass, so their buried guns don't get rusty. :)
