Any one have any idea where I can get a decent recoil pad for a 660?

Next question - if I have to go to a grind to fit pad anyone have any tips on how to do it?

Thanks

To search for a pre-fit pad, print this template, compare it to your rifle butt.

For grind to fit, YouTube is your friend.

Put the GTF pad against the butt, trace a perimeter line with pencil, chalk or something else visible. You're going to want to grind close to the line. If you have a belt-style sander, use it to take most of the "meat" off. Pay close attention to the toe angle. You can put it on the buttstock that's been wrapped with masking tape (I like to use electrical tape) and sand closer, either by hand, or if you're brave, with the power sander. It's going to take a bit without the proper set-up, but it's doable.

I tend to chicken out when grinding a pad to final fit - I use a stationary belt sander, but complete the sanding off the stock. Don't want to risk hitting the stock. Working carefully, I can get a nice fit. If it is a new unfinished stock, or a refinish, I sand with the pad mounted, and dress the pad and the wood together.
Watch the toe angle. This is the first thing that one sees when an amateur installed pad is done improperly.
Some pads will grind much better if frozen. Just the nature of the polymer used.
