I have the 1-4x Bushnell with the German #4 reticle and illuminated center dot. Really quite fond of it. Not the best for precision work but great in the field.

well i do not know about christmas but that specific reticle being ffp is great and the illuminated part is working as well not a german 4 but still good.

The green dot on the mark AR is so much easier for my eye to pick up. I love that little scope.

I put one on me RAR and quite like 'er. The optics are very clear and the little red dot is crisp with no fuzzy edges like the reflex dot scopes out there. Perfect for us gun geezers with old eyes. The reticle on Bushnell Prime is free of the ballistic scale (Xmas tree) and the adjustments are precise & hold zero well on my Ruger which be in 450 BM. The scope is a tad porky'er than the Leupold AR units & ye gotta go with 30 mm rings on the Bushnell compared to the 1" rings for the Leupold . The price is right on the unit fer me.

How much does that weigh with a full mag?

I'm actually not sure but the CVA is quite chunky - I'd say 8.5 on the bench or thereabouts. A hair lighter than my Vanguard, but MUCH slimmer and shorter (despite a 25" barrel with brake). Solid bush-pushing gun I feel.

Edit: It's actually 8.6lbs, turns out my Weatherby is a chonky 9.2lbs! Oh well, lugging them around is exercise I guess...

Low cost, a primary arms acss 1-4x would do the trick.

I like the low-height Leopold QRW 30mm rings for an allocation like that, but they're expensive compared to other options.
