I’m looking for the weights of various T3X models, specifically the T3X Lite and Lite Stainless in .308 and .30-06 - but I’d just generally like to find weights of all the current T3X models. I’ve looked all over and found a lot of very general weights, nothing specific or when I do find specifics they don’t match up with other sources.

Does anyone know where to find (if it exists) a proper listing of the T3X specs? I was even willing to email tikka but they have no email, just a Finnish phone number.

According to Tikka website bare rifle is 6.2 lbs

According to their website the T3X Lite and Lite Stainless is between 2.7 and 2.9 kg which is between 5.95 and 6.40 pounds.

According to Cabela’s American website they range from 6.3 to 7 pounds. Cabela’s Canada says 5 7/8ths of a pound to 6 9/10ths of a pound.

That would make the T3X Lite Compact about 6.2 pounds. It’s listed as 6.4 pounds and 6 pounds 17 ounces on cabelas and cabelas Canada in .308

The Lite Stainless in .243 is listed as just shy of 6 pounds on cabelas Canada and 6.4 on Cabelas. Depending on the exact scope it must be around 6 pounds.

Long story short every gun manufacturer but tikka makes their specs easily available.

Tikka lists the generic weight of the rifle, the differences in weights are accounted for due to bolt and bore, which varies depending on caliber.
For a specific model and caliber, you have to weigh the specific rifle you’re interested in.

Seems like the sort of thing a company might want to do at their facility and then provide that information to their dealers/customers. Like every other manufacturer does.

Are there any other rifles you are looking at? If yes then pick the one that fits you best otherwise get a Tikka in your preferred caliber and be happy.

On Friday I bought a T3X Lite Roughtech in 308 from Al Flaherty's. I added the supplied muzzle break (not sure if I will use this) to see what the max weight would be. It is 6lbs 11 oz. Hope that helps. This has the 22" barrel.
I have a 14 oz Z3 4-12x50 to install with a set of Talley Lightweight rings and this whole package should come in under 8 pounds.

These rifles come with removable components, may explain a difference in listed weight

A 243 with the same barrel contour as a 308 will weigh more not less…

I’m sure it’s easier to say “it’s between 5.95 and 6.7 pounds for this gun” but it’s not real helpful to customers. I can go to browning, savage, Ruger, kimber, weatherly and I’m sure others and get the exact weight for their rifles in a specific caliber.

Appreciate everyone posting their rifle weights. At least gives me an idea.

If you want a light rifle kimber hunters are now approx the same price as tikkas.

I have only had long action magnum tikka lights, but the came in closer to 6 pounds 6 ounces than 6.6 lbs
