revolver - 357 mag or 44 mag
1911 - 45 acp
polymer - only for 9mm, and then the 40 as a second
suggest you add to the survey, question on the age group, younger than 20, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, over 50
I am curious to know if it is the older members like me who started with revolvers, then 1911, and then as last additions, the polymers.
I think the polymers choices are indeed with the younger shooters who had such buying options when starting out.
Thing about plastics, though not disposibles or throwaways like a bic lighter, and whether picked as 1st choice or last, are still more likely to be sold or traded first than the classics.
Just got into glocks this year, and buying my first kydex rigs, not much for looks, but great on function.
Still, if I have to choose, I pick leather over kydex, blued steel over the black jiffy marker finish, wood grips over plastic.... as I look forward to an early pension. LOL
