Does anyone have experience using one on their 870?

I was going down the magpul forend + streamlight HLX with a mlok mount but then I saw this.

It looks a little bit worse than the magpul setup I was going for, similar price too!

I have one on mine. Like it so far.

The shape make it easy for a push/pull stance.
Affordable too.

If you're looking for specific info, let me know.

It’s a good product for the money. Robust, simple operation, decent light output, constant (tap) + momentary (hold) on a single pressure pad.

Downside is no lockout/ disable switch like the Surefire and Eotech, which protects against accidental activation. I have all three and none is a clear favourite, all have pros and cons.

The simplicity of the Streamlight means no fumbling or thinking required when under stress — hit the pad and you have light. Just be sure to avoid unintended pressure on it during storage/ transport.

I have one on a shockwave. Seems like good quality and it's more comfortable than I thought it would be. I haven't used it much yet though so I can't comment on durability.

This is the only missing feature I would really want. Not sure why it was omitted? Would make the surefire DSF completely worthless ...

Thanks guys, I was slightly on the fence but will buy now!

I know it's not the same as a featured killswitch, but I just unscrew the battery cap ever so slightly so it disables the light during transport.

I think it's a great product for 170$

I have the tlr1 hl and the racker. As a designated forend/light it's pretty good. Ergonomics are good and it works great in the dark. Controls are simple and if you don't want it coming on loosen the cap like the above post.

I ended up buying the HLX mostly because I was able to pick it up for $90 CAD shipped off ebay

Too bad you went the cheaper route. Saving up double the money would have gotten you an excellent, purpose-built shotgun light. Nothing wrong with the HLX, I just think that you could have done better for your specific application...

Sorry, not true for me. I also have the ability to quickly remove the flashlight and use it offhand as well or for other purposes. Wouldn't have been able to do that with the racker obviously

How do you like that mesa tactical rail? Optic hold zero with that?
