Very nice. Looks like the results I got from my full wood Zastava using the 285gr PRVI bullet with top end loads of either IMR 4320 and IMR 4064. ;)Seems like the calibre is top of the line accuracy wise:).
 
For a half decent start accuracy wise on paper with my, at that time, newly acquired full wood ;)'inexpensive' Zastava and using the 285gr PRVI, I took the easy short cut route. After a little load work up, basically I sort of settled on accuracy loads listed in the Nosler 5th Edition manual, for IMR 4320 and IMR 4064.
A while back I purchased a quantity of 285gr cast bullets from a site member. I forgot about these until that bullet was mentioned by another site member in a recent post. After chats and info from him, testing these cast bullets is on the agenda for the not too distant future:).

It is always interesting to read these threads, and once upon a time one of them changed my mind for me, and I somehow ended up with three rifles in this chambering. All three are gone now, replaced by a stainless T3 with a great pedigree (RIP Kevan!). The T3 is a pretty light rifle for this cartridge, at least for this old fart, but it's a keeper. And it has been on some memorable hunts, but so far has not accounted for any game, just paper. I do hope to change that, after the plague has ended, with a bison in YT.

I'm pretty well at a similar level of experience and use with my 9.3:). Your mention of plans for Bison in the YT brings back a 'bucket list item' of mine. ;)Hopefully one day.

The .375 R was built on an FN action(actually a JC Higgins M50 action) that started out as a .270 Winchester. Bill Leeper did the necessary work on the action(opened the bolt face and rails, modified the mag box and feed ramp and follower, re and re’d the bolt handle to an Oberndorf style).

Bill supplied and installed the McGowan heavy sporter barrel. He also reprofiled and shortened the barrel to 21” and mounted the barrel band.

We kept the FN safety and added a Timney trigger. The scope is a VX-II 2-7x33 in Talley steel rings and bases.

I made the stock from a Black walnut blank. I also did the rust bluing.

a hunting with only 9.3x62 or 9.3x74rin the yukon for bison will be for sure very interesting exercise and fun.

Thanks! You might know my "accompanying hunter" from Whitehorse (not Ted). Phil has been known to enjoy a hunt, for sure. ;)
