Over/Unders... $900 vs 25k?

Have an 828 and am very happy with it and it crushes targets as well as my Beretta ASE Gold enjoy:)

Ok NOW I get it... my 828U sport finally arrived... that is just quality all around! Only got to test fire it. Gotta get the Clay tossed out now and then when I get get out to the range for some Sporting Clay action...

That lock up is soooooo satisfying...

You could always consider a used semi automatic sporting gun. Many options and reasonable prices in the 1200 - 1700 range. You will likely never wear out a used 391 or a400 and parts are available if you have a failure. I suggest shouldering or trying any gun first for fitment and comfort. If you can....

I bought a 12 gauge Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon II several years ago, was just shy of $3000 and while the gun was very nice and seemed to be very well made, the complaint I had is that the bottom barrel shot about a foot lower than the top barrel. IMO with modern manufacturing equipment this is unacceptable for a gun in this price range even though it is not a $20,000 gun. Especially when I have an inexpensive Spanish made SxS double barrel that hits very close to the same point of impact with both barrels. Eventually after about a year I got tired of trying to compensate for poi difference and sent the gun back to Stoeger. They did replace the gun with a brand new one and I do give them credit for that. The point of impact between upper and lower barrels of the replacement gun was better than the gun I sent them BUT still not as good as it should be. I informed Stoeger of this and they said “we can’t just keep sending new guns over and over to people all the time.” I just lived with it after that, but even though the second example was better than the first,I am very hesitant to ever buy another.

That makes me wonder if they didn't have some sort of equipment failure at the factory, in particular the equipment that aligns the barrels while they are being soldered together. In my experience it's very unusual to have one Beretta with badly regulated barrels let alone two. It should have been picked up in the test fire stage too so obviously another failure there. In all the Beretta's I've shot, and it's been a few over the years, I've yet to find one that wasn't regulated perfectly although I'm sure they exist. I've seen lots of older Citori's that didn't shoot to the same point of aim but not the 680 series guns.

Are you shooting from a bench with the gun fixed or freehand? Could be you if you arent. Just saying...

So why is the 828 up for sale?

I just picked up a Perazzi TM-1 over the weekend, oldie but goodie.

Wife had a big surprise for me... so plans have changed, but exactly why it says not in a hurry to sell. It’s a if someone wants it I’d move it, however I’m more than happy to keep it as a safe queen for the odd weekend I can get out and put it to use.

Yes, shooting off a bench, aimed like a rifle. I started shooting clays, lower barrel fired first, was always missing. After I checked the barrel alignment I realized why I was missing. After that I was always purposely aiming high to try to compensate and found now I was hitting better but that got old pretty quick and I decided to send the gun back.

Best single shot trap gun ever produced in my opinion and why I shoot one.....;)

I was in Rio in 2016 watched josip glasnović win gold with his Beretta (was there with my daughter in another sport) .But Michael Diamond seemed to make his Perazzi work just fine when he shot it.Like them all but found the Perazzi a bit finicky so ,ASE GOLD it is
