Where are these gen 3s being built? Still in Japan?
That's interesting. I dug around the site a little and didn't see it mentioned. Not even in the manual. Still, I'd be very surprised if it's not FFP.Interesting looking spotting scope. Great that it has reticles. The reticle is only in the bottom quarter. Maybe I'm missing it, but I don't see anywhere that clarifies if it is first or second focal plane. Surely it has to be first, can someone find confirmation?
I certainly like the DMR 2 just the G3 reticle is too heavy.
...skwerl
I’ve been shooting a DMR2 Pro for a number of years, for long range plinking and competition. It was a good scope- solid, reliable tracking.
Been wanting to try a XRS3 EQL Ret and finally ordered one today. Looking forward to trying it out.
Bushnell 25% off mail in rebate?
Yep! Ordered from Darren @ PGT. Always great service, and good prices.
Yeah, I checked out both side by side. Been using GAP reticles for a long time, but definitely prefer the EQL. It'll be so much better for hold only stages. The only thing I'm not 100% sold on is how it is scaled, if that makes sense. I prefer to shoot around 12-15x, and the EQL may be a bit fine for that. At least for my eyes. The rebate is tempting. I have the xrs 3 with the g4p reticle. Scope is great, reticle is meh. I paid $1300 bnib for mine so I can live with it. The eql definitely looks better but having paid so little for mine I can't motivate myself to pay more
