Levers for Lefties?

I'm wondering about lever guns, specifically which one(s) are lefty friendly? Obviously the lever is ambidextrous, but what about safeties? What sort of safeties do the various popular lever guns have? Tang safeties are good for us lefty-shooters, but push button/cross bolt safeties are not unless they can be reversed.

So, what guns either don't have external safeties at all, or have lefty-friendly safeties? Im thinking Win 94, Marlin 336, Marlin 1895, Henry, Browning BLR, Rossi 92 clones, Ranch Hands/Mares Legs...

For a currently made lever a miroku Winchester 1895 loads from the top not the side and has a tang safety or an original Win 95 which has the half #### safety

I'm not concerned about loading. I use right-handed shotguns lefty, and I only own right-handed 22's thus far, so I'm used to things like the loading/ejection port being on the "wrong" side. I am more concerned with the controls one would use when actively trying to shoot something - cycling the action and activating/deactivating the safety, that sort of thing.
 
yep - I', with Neilm post 5 ... Savage 99, many calibers, cool and ###y (oh, can I say that if a Liberal might be reading???) curves, accurate ...
 
The Rifleman used a custom old pre 64 Winchester...and he carried it everywhere... you can't go wrong there!
 
ive gone the older model route , win 94 with a half ####? of the hammer............ if i were to buy a 30-30 or the like id try for older models. maybe our aussie 30-30s havnt often had as much average of rounds thru as American/Canadian 30-30s either, so the old 1975 model can still shoot well for pig or plink.

other than that im not sure--- sorry
 
The BLR has a half ####, folding hammer safety and is loaded via a mag from the bottom. So very ambidextrous except the ejection port being on the right.
 
all of the Jap-chesters have a tang safety but one thing to be aware of, if you ever want to mount a tang sight of any kind either you have to disable & remove the safety mechanism or use a rifle that doesn't have the tang safety (Marlins or 1/2 #### Winchesters).
 
Sorry, I am not familiar with exchanging of the safeties on levers for lefties, like that available on shotguns.
I have always just used the half #### safety or only loaded one in the chamber as I made my final stock and/or needed to shoot at an animal, and never used the safety if the rifle was so equipped.

This. I am left eye dominant right handed.
Hammer extension needed with an optic only helps in left handed shooting or to engage the half #### safety.
I shoot my BLR from the left no problems. In fact the left thumb reach over to manipulate it is super natural for my own human digits.
 
The savage 99s with a tang safety are very left hand friendly. I have an older 99 with the safety on the lever and it's a massive pain in the butt for me to shoot left handed. Normally I just just without the safety, keep the chamber empty and when it comes time to shoot, load the chamber and shoot. The winchester 94 use the hammer, so they're good for anyone. But my.personal preference now is to shoot left handed bolt rifles and not so much lever guns anymore.
