Leverarms has the Norinco '.22 KKW Trainer' on sale for $99. I picked one up today - seems like a great deal.

Wow good price. They are usually around $179.00. They are really hefty .22's. You might be shocked how bulky it is for a .22, not lengthwise, but just in general heft.

On Lever sight there is a norinco Christmas special you can click on & you will find them there . I have had one for many years , mine came with a factory off set scope . fun little 22 but like already said it is heavy

I wish I could find that Norinco scope. If you ever think of selling the rifle or the side mount scope, let me know.

The finish IS crappy, nothing like the picture. Some are worse than others. The wood underneath is usually quite nice (Manchurian Choo wood I think, or perhaps rubber tree), so a linseed treatment makes for a nice blonde k98 look.

$300? Here in Canada?

I could see that in the USA but seeing as how its illegal to bring a Norinco down there and sell it, I don't think I'd risk it. They do change hands down there but imports have been banned since when, 1994?

wow, i really like the look of it, and for 99 bucks, sounds pretty good. anyone have pictures of theirs? i want to see what they ACTUALLY look like.

Yes,from Milarm,300$ including taxes and shipping.

Keep on working milions on wellfare depend on you

I had one but later sold it. They're shorter than a regular K98, at least by a few of inches. Mine was finished in a cheap brown paint but the wood underneath was pretty nice. Marstar later sold me a stock replacement set that had a much improved brown finish on it. It was pretty accurate but was limited by the sight set up. The bolt once spontaneously fell apart on me but it was a fun little gun and it took a K98 bayonet. If you want a cheap plinker that looks like a milsurp then go for it.

Do the stocks interchange from a '98 to the jw25 or is it special made for the 22?

I just got mine yesterday.
These new ones are a real improvement over the first one I bought five years ago. They have an oil finish stock and the fit and finish on the new ones I've seen is much improved.
My old "ugly" JW25A will give a 3"group with the open sights at 100 metres using subsonic (target) ammo. It doesn't like .22 rimfire HV ammo at all.
And the manual that comes with the rifle is great reading.

BTW: these are copies of the BRNO rimfires - (no I don't know if parts interchange).
