Zastava P10?

Ok, Wasa
A couple questions to clarify the issue.
1. Did the gun go full auto as in you squeeze the trigger and as long as you hold down the trigger it would continue to fire and when you let go of the trigger it would stop firing?
2. Or did you have a full auto runaway, where you squeeze the trigger and it started auto firing and when you let go of the trigger it still kept firing?
3. Can you tell me what markings are on the box your gun came in and what are on the gun itself? You don't have to show the serial# just if it is P10 etc.
Thanks for your time.
Just trying to figure out the issue and what exactly caused it! They are both bad as it isn't a full auto gun ( I don't think it was designed that way) and the other is an uncontrolled runaway firing!

1. Emptied the magazine too fast to know. Only loaded 5 rounds. Went full auto on round 2 or 3. Did not experiment with finger on/off trigger as emptied too fast for me.
2. Not sure, but I would say no. Slide locked back after last round.
3. Box says Model Z10, Cal 10mm Auto, SN 008XX. Firearm says "Zastava Made in Yugoslavia 10 AUTO M93" Serial number on frame, slide, etc. Also, kind weird, a different SN has been electro-penciled on various pieces. Appears to be H577 on hammer group and barrel. Non-english greenish coloured card says P M-93 10mm auto 008XX 1996

Called the dealer last week, filled out the return warrantee form online. Waiting to hear back from them.

Thankyou, same as mine, yes there are electro pencil numbers on mine too, I think everyone's is! Well, it does say auto,,, not semi auto!!!!! Maybe they meant exactly that, now I have to get to the range and see what's up with mine! although you say it doesn't do that with milder hand loads. I'm thinking something in the trigger group can be tweaked to stop that from happening,, but do we really wanna try!

First thing I'd check is the firing pin and spring.

As far as I can tell, no issues with the firing pin and spring. Works as expected when I press by hand, as as said, with two different handloads. I dismantled the hammer group to clean the sear and spring (brake cleaner followed by Ballistol) but it did it again on my second range trip.

I like Tokarevs. Have one in 7.62x25, 9mm, and 22LR. I want this one - just want the ability to shoot factory ammo from it.

Wow, we need a good gun plumber to check these out and try to determine the issue!

Mine has the same electro penciled numbers. Z10 on the box and manual, M93 on the warranty card and Zastava P10 on the slide under the ejection port. Mine worked perfectly on my range visit and fired 2 mags of 5 in each mag. Was using Federal American Eagle 180gr FMJ.

I watched this video (in Bosnian; no English) on the Zastava Z10 and it was a little troubling to see it go from semi to full-auto @ 1:38, 2:21 and 2:33. I would hope that this problem is specific to the gun in the video and not indicative of the model itself:

Interesting that he tried to stop the full auto issue by swapping the trigger with an M57. As Teppo stated, so many "full auto" moments.

Looks accurate when it is bahaving (he's only loading one bullet at a time lol)

Cheapest full auto in Canada!

Again, was it a malfunction or was it full auto, could he stop the firing by letting off the trigger, if not, it wasn't full auto, it was a malfunction, an uncontrolled continuous firing of the pistol.

While I have no interest in 10mm, it could be a gun to toss in the safe and in 20 yrs , if we still have guns ,could have some interest. WTHK?

If you have both, do they use the same Firing Pin springs as the 7.62's? Can we find heavier ones?

Can we swap a 9mm or a 7.62 bbl? Not that they grow on trees...

I am loading for it now. Will shoot it on Saturday.\

One of the issues is that it only comes with 2 mags, and more do not seem to be available.

The magazine is the same as a regular 7.62x25, or so it seems. But is one round too short.

Zast makes the M57, which is like a TT-33, except a longer mag. I wonder if that mag would work?

I don't have one to try. Maybe one of the dealers that sells the P-10 and the M57 could chime in here.
