Norinco Non-Corrosive 7.62x39

Classy comment... And we wonder why firearms owners are misrepresented in the media.

I've got a touch of the 'tism myself. I'm reclaiming the term for empowerment
You feel me?

Regardless it doesn't matter what gun owners say or do. Last years events have shown if the establishment can use your cause to your advantage you can literally take over parts of cities by force, burn down federal buildings, and trash/loot/burn thousand of businesses while the media and democrat politicians cover for you and says it's "mostly peaceful", inspiring, and brave.

Gun owners aren't going to stop the attempt to erase us by modifying our behaviour to ""progressive"" norms. The media represents us the way they do because the global elite want disarmment, and they'll make up whatever narrative they need to do that.

I always run some patches down the barrel when I get home. If I dont I will just keep putting it off. The only firearms that I don't clean after every trip are my shotguns.

I've had an SKS that showed signs of rust after shooting white box Norinco "non corrosive" and not cleaning for a couple weeks. I don't believe it's true non corrosive

I have been shooting my SKS-15 with Norinco Non-Corrosive 7.62x39 (white box, headstamp indicates 2017 manufacture date). Mostly because this gun is a bit of a pain to strip down, and I don't want to have to clean it every time I shoot it. However, after 3 outings, my fourth outing the first round jammed in the chamber. Bolt wont open.

I got it home and stripped it down. It took quite a bit of force to get the bolt open, and it was just the empty cartrage jammed in the chamber. There seems to be a lot of copper fouling in the chamber, I guess from the copper washed casings. Anyway, it's going to get a good scrub down, cleaning and oil.

And I can confirm that there is no signs of corrosiveness from this ammo. I know many people are skeptical of this Norinco ammo, but as they say, the proof is in the pudding.

I bought a case of the Norinco noncorrosive for the same reason - so I don't have to strip clean the rifle immediately on return from the range. I agree it seems to be true noncorrosive.

Or it was just rust caused by non-ammo factors. Steel rusts, it's just a fact of life, humid air exists.

I'll have to backu "fwm" on this.

I was using a Russian SKS, with a chrome plated bore, shooting White Box Norinco ammo.

Of course there wasn't any rust in the bore, but the gas tube and piston showed fine rust after a week.

Not enough to do any real damage. Just enough to firmly remind me not to trust "non corrosive" lables.

The ammo was definitely less corrosive than European surplus and even some of the other Chinese offerings.

The only surplus 7.62x39 surplus ammo that I've used that was truly non corrosive, was a few crates of South African manufacture.

Likely there are others, beside recent manufacture commercial but the cost is prohibitive.
