Hi, ive been on the hunt for a M39 for the longest time now with no luck. Seeing when websites have sold out, it looks like I missed the last shipments of this rifle by a while now. By any chance does anyone know where one of these beauties is, or how I could locate one?

They are way overstated and overpriced IMHO

Very sloppy actions, recuperated from Imperial Russian Mosin Nagants.
The rest of the rifles is fine.

Again IMHO the Polish M44 are the absolute best Mosin Nagants, what concerns fit and finish.

The M39 Mosin Nagant is an awesome mosin. Yes a mosin, but accurate.. Saw one for sale, will try and remember where.. Wasn't cheap..

Liberty Tree Collectors out of the US has some of the best ones I've seen.

OP, you will have to go through a broker to bring one into Canada

IRUNGUNS is a good choice, but there are others.

I've had a few MN's pass through my hands over the years including a couple minty Polish M44's. Most accurate is/was a M39. The Polish M44's are certainly the
prettiest and I kept one. Still have the 39 as well. (Also few 91/30's ) both hex and round receivers. One great feature of the 39 is the windage adjustable front sight.
Mine has a few marks on the stock but metal and bore are vg+. Mine will be for sale someday in the near future as I get older (as long as a relative or close friend is not interested.)
Must take it out for a range session soon.

Just found one through empire arms! It was a breeze ordering through them and I spoke directly with Dennis(owner) for all of the process! Was able to get a pretty fine deal as well and I’d highly recommend those guys! Now it’s just the waiting game

Those who know, how does M27 compare to M39 in terms of accuracy assuming they are in a similar condition?

The issue with M27's is finding one in excellent condition. They were all available for use in the war and even if refurbed afterwards the bore may be well used. There appear to be lots of M39's around in unissued condition so, on average, they're going to be much more accurate. I have the reverse situation- my M27 is much more accurate than my M39 but both are well worn survivors. The M27 will put 10 shots in a 2" circle at 100m with surplus ammo.

I have two M39’s, a 1944 and a 1968. Can’t say much about how they shoot, but they are a nice rifle, that’s for sure. I always find it intriguing that most parts are interchangeable. The fact that these rifles were never made new, the M39 I mean, and that they came from many different places to Finland, and that they served that country well, says much about Finnish determination and ingenuity.

A good rifle for a static usage. Sorta mindful of an M1 Garand in it's size...except not a semi-auto.
If you've not handled one...do before you drop an EMT. Unless it's a straight 'Safe Queen' of course...then crack on.
And I like M/N's...just found the M39 to be more sizzle than steak. I found it carried poorly compared to an M91

Fit and finish does not make a rifle accurate. Accuracy is where the M-39 shines. M-39s are consistently the most accurate Mosins out there, bar none.
