Looks like the bolt catch is machined into both the upper and lower so that is probably why the incompatibility they might have tried to make it work but couldn't ? The lack of a bolt catch is the one thing that was on the con list for the Renegade so this is still great news as they improve and expand their line ! Like with the 180's they seem to be evolving and more companies are jumping up to provide upgrades so anything new coming out of Canada is awesome ! Keep it up guys !

I see it's not compatible with the Mark I. What ae the differences?

Since the parting line on the renegade receivers is lower so its not compatible with other restricted/prohibited receivers we had to add a protrusion for the bolt catch feature to be added on the bottom metal and a cut out on the upper.

Would taking a Dremel to an existing upper be considered an excessively brave thing to do? Will you be offering a machining service?

We will not be offering a machining service and we do not recommend any modification to mk1 renegades.

We are offering an additional 15% of Mk2 receivers and rifles for Mk1 renegade owners wishing to upgrade

Are you going to make complete Mk1 renegade upper kits available for those that have first gen model.

Yes we will continue to support the Mark 1 with parts and service and where possible, future upgrades and parts will be backward compatible to the Mark 1.
