Cylinder polish

Ahh, that makes a difference. Perhaps somebody who has encountered this with a rimfire SP101 can explain a remedy

Chamber mop, metal polish, go slow and keep testing. You just want to take out any roughness that might be causing the sticky extraction.

P.S. I would tell you to send it in for repair but in Canada that would take at least 6 months and it still won't work properly when returned.

I had the same issues on the older Ruger Single Six rimfire. To eject spent cartridges out of chambers required a lot of force on the ejection rod.
The advice was to get the copper cleaning brush for 22LR, put some 0000 steel wool on it and polish the chambers using a variable speed drill and a lot of oil. Check periodically.
It helped to solve the ejection problem in 3 out of 4 problematic chambers.
I am testing ejection on the range, so the process takes a while. I am sure that the last chamber will be cleaned in the end as well.

My old SP101 got sticky after 200-250 RNDS. Usually just cleaned the cylinder if I wanted to use it anymore in a range trip. Regret selling it now really accurate .
 
Another option to make quick work of that is to make a whip. I use the wood dowel from industrial q-tips. I just cut the cotton tip off, cut a slit in the end of the wood, then insert a small piece of sand paper. Chuck it into a drill, make sure you're going the right direction for the abrasive part to contact the chambers. I use 2000 grit, and you can follow up with a bore patch or cotton shirt scrap with some polishing compound to really get it to shine.

I have never polished my 22 revolver, just a good old bore brush that fit the chambers and some oil or bore solvant. It probably just need a good clean more than a "polishing". Just imo.

X 2 on that , my pistol didnt like the federal but seems fine with the browning 22 , pick up a few different brands to try out .
 
Cylinder polish UPDATE: SOLVED

I used the steel wool/brush/drill approach. Still sticky. When looking down the cylinder from the forward end I could see it was a miniscule misalignment of the extractor star. Micro surgery with an abrasive burr and my Dremel seem to have been 100% successful. Thanks for the replies.
