Cartridge exploded in chamber

Go back to Post #95 - another explanation is raised - what was the actual powder that was used, if Quickload suggests can not get that much in there - OP did so get that much in there - comfortably, it sounds - which begs the question - of what kind of powder did OP use and how is that known to be true, almost in spite of what he thought it was?? Admittedly very far fetched if from a factory sealed container - quite another thing if was from a previously opened container received from someone, purchased wherever...

I do have several previously opened containers given to me as "the same as Unique" - I do not care - intend to use it up with COW case forming loads only, and will for sure be "working up" those loads. Re-reading - as if OP made no attempt to "work up", but scale errors due to drafts, as he described, would likely have invalidated that anyways...

Another 100+ post thread where people are still trying to extract basic info from the OP. The result - a huge amount of conjecture, many posters certain that they know exactly what happened, even while there are still many questions not answered.

Alternately, a lot of people apparently enjoying a discussion of the possibilities, even though they don't have 100% of all the facts.

Reloaders enjoying a reloading related discussion, even though they apparently don't have sufficient facts. Can't have that! Oh my God... next thing you know, cats and dogs living together... where will it end!

If it was me I would want to know exactly why this event happened. Even if it was operator you need to know for certainty if not the next time we may be reading about you and not from you.

Same.

But seems like OP was more worried about getting his gun back in service, then figuring out what happened. So it doesn't happen again. I figured quickly he was fairly new when it came to reloading. Due to the red flags that appeared ( biggest was the clap back when asked how long he has been reloading ) Threads like this, help others, by warning people not what to do.
