Went to the range this morning to try some reloads.I had 100 rounds of .45acp loaded with 7.2 grains of Power Pistol powder ( down from 7.5 previously whereby accuracy wasn't great) with a 230 grain Campro RN FCP bullet. Accuracy was a bit better but the gun ( Ruger SR1911 ) still kicks more than I'd like compared to some Winchester white box 230 grain. It's much louder than factory rounds as well. So on that note...I fired 100 rounds and only one missed fired but I re chambered it and it fired no problem so basically no issues at all however when I picked up my spent cases 2 were damaged pretty bad. So what might cause this damage even though there was no other issues to indicate there was a problem?
