I was given some unopened containers of SP 85 Powder , I believe SP stands for small pistol other than that I don’t know what it’s used for , can anyone tell me anything about this powder ? Load data etc
Thanks

Look up Accurate DP85

SP85 is a non cannister grade powder made for commercial loaders.

DP85 is very close to Ramshot Hunter.

SP85 powder was available appx 15-20 years ago, in four or seven pound cardboard boxes with the powder inside of plastic bags.

Just to be on the safe side, email Higginson's Powder in Hawkesbury

Let me know what you want for it. I used it for my 38 super. Was a very good cheap replacement for 3n37.

I’m out of town at the moment but I believe I may have data from Higgenson if I’m not mistaken. I know I just finished my last 4 lbs of SP81. I believe I used about 16 lbs of 85 but that was some time ago. Good score by the way

Awsome thanks , Higginsons sent me some load data but probably just going to sell the lot I use Titegroup in my 9 mm and Auto Comp in my 45 ACP loads but if you have some other load data that would be nice
Thanks

Loads are for 9mm, 38 Super, 357 Sig and 45 ACP as I recall. Just finished the last of my SP81. Back in the days we were getting SP powder for under $20/lbs. sure do miss ole Thomas Higgenson RIP fella.
