If you could only have one handgun, what would you choose?
My choice would be a Glock G17.
  • Universal caliber: 9mmP
  • Reliable
  • virtually indestructible
  • weather-proof
  • light, easy to carry open or concealed
  • low maintenance
  • accurate enough for all usage
What's your choice? :)

Glock 19, because it IS the only handgun I have right now!

I love the P7M8 but....I'd pick an all stainless 1911 in 9mm.

Easy to detail strip and replace parts
Really tough
Can always add high tech finish to it

If you could only have one handgun...

What a horrible question. I have been sitting hear thinking what gun of mine would be the one.

First I thought a S&W 357 revolver like my model 66 but then I started thinking about my early model CZ75 which has be customized. While I love a good 1911 I don't think I could pick it as the one. I thought about my High Standard 22 as one of the last guns I would part with but rejected it as being the only one. Even though I like shooting 22 I would not want it to be my only choice.

No, I don't think I could narrow it down to one. Maybe four or five, but not one.

I really don't know how to answer this quesrion now because I have a S&W 686, CZ 75B and I bought a Glock 17 this morning. Will see which one stay and which one wil go.

Springfield XD - .40SW.

Beats any Glock hands down.

2nd place, Sig 229 .357 Sig.

A little smaller and a hell of allot lighter than the XD.

1911

The best 1911 with adjustable sights I could afford. .45ACP of course. :)

Then add a .22 conversion kit.

As much as I was leaning towards saying a Glock 22 .40 cal with nite sites, being a 1911 lover I'd go with the above, too.

Plus you can always add top-ends/barrel combos in 9mm, 10mm, .40, .357 Sig, .38 Super, too.... ;) :D
