Advice on target sights

Anschutz sights do not have a vernier scale or enough elevation to get out to 1000 yards. And they turn in the wrong direction for a Canadian Palma team.

The difference is in the reference. German target sights correct BY where the shot was, not the direction to which you want to correct the sights. That is why they have the German word "BEI" on the correction knobs.

In that system:
If shot is high, correct by H = German Hoch
Shot is low, correct by T = German Tief
Shot is left, correct by L = German Links
Shot is right, correct by R = German Rechts

Score rings are same as ISSF 300M targets.
Numbers on edges are # of clicks to center.

For the RPA Quadlock, be aware that it is named on the really really bad guns list that came out on 1 May. It makes no sense because the Cadets own a couple hundred of them, but that model is named. Paul can advise further.

This has been repeated many times, this ONLY applies to rifles chambered in cartridges capable of 10kj at the muzzle. This does not apply to any other firearm. The Quadlock was available in a .50 BMG version (among others) and those files are now prohibited. However, the many .308 Win and similar rifles are unaffected.

Thanks for the clarification. The wording on the OIC seemed pretty sweeping.
