Hi
Does anyone know of a good 22lr. Anschutz gunsmith for barrel work. In southern Ontario.
Thanks

I don't know if Stelios would call himself an Anschutz gunsmith, but by all accounts he knows his stuff; ht tps://scgunworks.ca I had him do some work for me, very knowledgeable guy, very nice to deal with, etc. I believe he's in Georgina, almost within sight of the lake.

I will second Jefferson's recommendation of Henry Rempel in Langdon.

Henry is well known in the smallbore community in Alberta and has been shooting rimfire silhouette for ages. He knows his stuff when it comes to working on .22s. He has probably lost count of how many Anschutz rifles he's worked on and barrels he has replaced.

I recently had him tune the extraction on my Anschutz 1727F as it was not properly ejecting all spent brass and now it functions perfectly.

Thanks for the reply, looking to get barrel threaded

Henry Rempel threaded a Benchmark barrel on my Anschütz 1913. Excellent job. Very accurate rifle. I would highly recommend that you get in touch with him.

Of course ! Arrangements have been made before shipping the barreled action. It is now possible to do the same in Canada with Korth Group https://eley.co.uk/canada-customer-test-range/

That's great. You must have ordered several cases. I wasn't sure that such arrangements were possible eight or nine years ago. By comparison, getting a rifle to similar facilities in the US (Eley or Lapua) and returned and the ammo back to Canada, if both were at all possible, would be very time consuming at the least. Korth of course has been offering testing services in Okotoks since about 2018 and that's a good thing.
