You literally proved my point by bringing up the debt. The boomer generation saturated the later generations with an unpayable amount of debt. That's where freedom began to be lost.
They should've thrown out the politicians who wanted excess deficits and okayed the sale of our country's gold. They didn't (cause they wanted to reap the rewards of endless credit) and so, they are equally as complicit as the politicians as far as I'm concerned.

That was largely because of the fascist bill c51 snoop bill Harper arrogantly hung on to like a pit bull on a raw porterhouse steak despite plummeting polls and advice from his handlers to abandon the extremely unpopular snoop legislation.
He couldn't get it through his thick skull that privacy paranoid Canadians have no interest in the NSA, Department of Homeland Security, Patriot Act crap.
It was the mill stone that dragged Harper down to defeat.
Harper paid the political price and ironically the Liberals passed an almost identical bill not long after winning the election.
It was Harper's own stubbornness and arrogance that cost him the 2015 election.

I work with quite a few 'millennials', and I have to say a few are hard working but the vast majority spend more time on their phone than actually working. Can't say I agree with your theory on working 10x as hard.

Graduate highschool and land a job that affords a house and wife doesn't need to work. Interest rate 10%? Doesn't matter Boomer could afford a detached house.

This generation goes to school gets a bachelor's in sciences, engineering, can't afford a one bedroom apartment mortgage without their spouse needing the same income. You spend extra 6 years in school. Families owning trailers going to cottages....
