Hello All:

Does anyone know to contact COLT arrange for warranty work?
Bought a Colt Python 4.25 back in March and only got a chance to try out recently and after about 40 rounds, I've noticed that firing in SA the cylinder won't rotate.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Colt brags in the ads about the new models having something like 25 fewer parts (something along those lines). Maybe they should have left some in! To the OP, I would NOT put screwdriver to screw before getting the exact details from Colt about warranty work. I am the ultimate tinkerer and home 'smith but messing with your warranty on a pricey item like that could prove regrettable.

Before trying to approach any Bubba tool from it remove the grips and flood the action with Crud Cutter. Let it dry then oil it and give it a try.

Sure, if it was off warranty or I was wealthy. Risking damage or the ability to obtain factory repair work and parts on a new big ticket item is plain stupid IMO. Common sense is your friend.

Common sense tells me that screwdrivers aren't that hard to operate. If you don't know what your doing then by all means wait a couple of years to get it "fixed" but the "ultimate tinkerer and home smith" wouldn't give a crap. The only thing that seems plain stupid to me is the fear people have of tools and mechanical objects. To each their own I guess.

Learn to use tools. In this day and age they have tons of videos online to help you. They really aren't that difficult to work on. - dan

The trick to screwdrivers is to use only good quality. Higher end screwdrivers will fit and grip the screw better. Try to avoid anything with a hiviz or plain black handle…
Also, the lefty loosy, righty tighty rule is important when screwing.
