Are you in it?

Just got mine, after years of wanting one.

Haenel Jager 9 in 8x57r with a MAKquick mount, smoking deal used. Steiner 2-10x42, also a killer deal.

I’ve played with most less expensive single shots including the not so great Baikal takedowns very nice BRNO K1 and Ruger No 1.

This is something else, flawless takedown, true tilting block action capable of handling magnum pressures. Crisp light trigger set or otherwise. Lightweight, points like a shotgun. Can’t wait to get it out to the range.

This is a “ working grade gun” in terms of finish but the metalwork is flawless. I hope some owners of the high end models will show up to share theirs.

Gun seems like it was never even fired by the previous owner. I almost bought one in 30-06 with a recknagel mount and 1-5x leupold. Happy I waited for a much better deal in a rimmed euro caliber and built my fjudd package.

Nice, I have a friend that have one in 308 and like
It but it is so light that he find it kicks quite a bit… I would love one in a euro caliber too!! One day, 7x57r maybe!!

Nice gun! Tilting block action?

No, not the tilting block, it's the Double Kersten Locking system. It's implausible the workmanship, accompanied with unyielding tolerances. Awesome shooter, however a person must be conscious of the ejector, empty case flies beyond 10 feet, otherwise lost in the snow or tall grass.

I like that Haenel Jager 9! Nice rifle and looks like you got a very good value for a Kipplauf.
Mine is a recently acquired Krieghoff Hubertus with steel receiver, so not the lightest version, but well matched for the caliber - .30R Blaser. It is "light enough", handles exceptionally well, and it shoots! I really like the Swarovski Z3 3-10x42 rail mount scope & Recknagel QD swing mounts too. I have a bunch of full power RWS factory loads ( like a .300 H&H) for hunting the big stuff, and have developed a nice mild .308 Win.equivalent hand load for everything else. Can't wait to get it out in the field!

Nice one Longwalker! Love the caliber, maybe the perfect mix of rimmed chambering function & euro style with North American projectile selection.

I have to say I never would have found my gun if a CGN member hadn’t reached out to a WTB ad and told me about a dealer I had never heard of who had this “ used” one in stock. Awesome move and community we have

Cool, makes for a quick reload. Does it take down?

Indeed, it is a take-down. It dismantles similar to the Blaser, Merkel, Haenel Jaeger, Krieghoff, etc. I acquired it this past spring and will use it this autumn. I believe that once I killed one or two animals, I will give it to my son. I have another 300 H&H that I will want to use as well, for future hunting adventures.

DADDY….. hahaha

Very nice rifles!

All I've got is a Henry Single Shot, and its not worthy of this thread. lol

I'm also going to purchase a Henry Single Shot, I truly believe that they are a great quality rifle.................don't sell yourself short, a single shot is a single shot, regardless of price.

My only single shot is a cheap CVA Scout in .35 Whelen, but I've been eyeing the used market for the right Ruger #1 or Browning B78/1885. That is, up until I became enamored with the Blaser K95. Don't know if I would prefer a Luxus in 6.5x55 or the Luxus Stutzen in 8x57, definitely with open sights, Grade 5+ wood, and a Swarovski scope.

Great rifles in this thread!

Bergara/CVA not being willing to import their 20 inch barrel 8x57r is what led me to this point lol.

Haenel might be a good compromise between the blaser and the CVA lol. With the current price of ruger no 1s they are looking better. Unfortunately Wolverine told me they are no longer making new models

6.5x55? Too Swedish

6.5x57r ser gut jah

I too have a poor mans Kipplauf , a Savage 219 in 30/30 . I love it . It looks a little agricultural compared to some of the above works of art , but the deer don't care .......... and neither do I .

^ That’s been my dream for a while. Lots of Swiss and what is now Northern Italian ancestors and relatives, would love to go hunt Chamois in the alps. Probably moving back to BC so stone sheep, caribou and goats will be on the menu instead.

It might just be my google/ foreign language skills but it seems like while the style is Austrian in origin most mass produced guns are coming from Germany and Italy these days.

Anyone know of French makers? How about Swiss?

I know they are into Martini actions and have or had single shot, iron sight and caliber restriction laws for chamois hunting. I see blasers in the required single chambering with no magazine and John wick style cartridge holder in front of the action being used by young guys online.

More interested in KIPPLAUFS though

More than a Cessna less than an A star

They don’t answer emails unless you’re a Russian oligarch or hapsburg count

Seems like they are getting a lot of mileage off the one gun they made years ago.

Recently they shared a bunch of pictures of it on Instagram but it’s the same gun that’s been on their site for ~5 years. Maybe they overestimated the willingness to change of their target market

Maybe the owners are too busy hunting endangered sheep I’ve never heard of in the ‘stans to share pictures with us peasants
