38-55 Bullet Mold

I have a paper patch mold from Accurate Molds that drops a .377" bullet weighing 273 grs, that once patched should come close to .381" I use it powder coated then sized .378" as my groove diameter in both my hiwall & rolling block is .377" It's very accurate in both my rifles.

The greaser measures .379" It could be patched as well. Let me know if you would like some to try before buying a mold. I have several molds in different weights all the way to 330 grs. happy to help you if I can!

NOE bullet moulds sells a 380 dia 390 grains bullet mould.I just bought a Pritchett bullet mould from them top notch outfit.Also Lyman makes a 381 dia bullet mould for the 38/55

My Lyman casts a 0.380. 335 gr.
Accurate moulds in the U.S. will custom make a mould.They Will ship to Canada. Excellent moulds. My last double cavity aluminum for my snider cost 178 shipping included. Sells iron, brass and aluminum moulds. Made to the specifications you give him. About two weeks to get it. They are as good as NOE moulds.

Accurate Molds presently has a 10 week turn around time, as stated on their home page. Well worth the wait!!
Neither of my rifles like a 330 gr bullet. Mine top out at 300 grs.

Buffalo Arms show "Out of stock" on all bullet molds that I looked at recently. At $195 USD + shipping, duty and exchange, well north of $300 Can. that's awful pricey for a 1 cavity mold!
 
Thanks for the info everyone - I will be following up. I got a PM from a guy who says he can make what I want so I'll try those before buying a mold.

when I had my 38/55 I needed a hefty bullet.. I contacted Steve Brooks told him my rate of twist, and what I wanted to do with the rifle ... . after some USD and a little time later in the mail box it was. good quality moulds costs some dollars, but it is nice to have the best chance on making a good bullet.
