Hello

I'm looking to stock up on some .303 FMJ, specifically this stuff

https://www.firearmsoutletcanada.com/sellier-bellot-303-british-180gr-fmj-case-of-400.html

I'd prefer the 400 round case but if anyone has seen the 20 round boxes I'd appreciate being pointed in the right direction!

Thanks

The current Switzers & Kidd auctions have a number of lots of .303 however there are no deals so if you want 400 rounds be prepared to fight for them and pay accordingly.

In my opinion only, that's about the crappiest choice of commercial .303 British available, FMJ or otherwise.

And if you're planning on reloading the fired cases or having somebody do it for you... once again their brass is about the worst.

However, in times of scarcity, especially for those who do not reload, most will take what they can get.

I haven't seen any bulk .303 anywhere. But then, I've got several hundred Privi Partisan cases and enough jacketed bullets with bullet moulds at work as well that I haven't been looking for loaded ammunition.

I used to buy Remington UMC fmj 174gr. I got good life out of that brass for reloading. I don't know if it'll be included in the new Remington ammo product line but if it is, at a competitive price I'd try it. Privi Partisan brass I've saved from .243Winchester has been good, I expect their .303British would be just as good.

My experience is pretty well the opposite. That S&B gives the highest velocity and prints very nice groups. Case life is the usual spiel, neck size only if possible. I have never had rimlock one single time, with any ammunition. I load my cartridges properly... I have 100 rounds or so left. I don't shoot much .303B these days so it's "just in case" ammo.

You're almost better off searching for a stockpile of DA surplus, they are out there - with the number of old DCRA members passing on - who used to get their ammo for free - I think we'll see more coming to the market.

I have five or six boxes of Greek HXP, circa 1968 if I remember correctly.

This is getting me almost serious about putting it on the market, rather than keeping it as reference ammunition. Paying $140 a BOX!!!!
