Can you post a link to this? I'm seeing P7M8 going for between $1400-$2500USD, depending on model.

$700 is less than half of what they sold for new last year in the USA, these pistols discontinued, are in demand and to the best of my knowledge, are generally appreciating in price.

hi, thoes are ex-police issued, but in good shape, maybe I was wrong,but the new one I saw in the store just a little bit more than 1000USD.

from what ive dug up the barrel is 4.13", and 106mm is 4.17" difference of like 2mm but still a difference

ive heard that these heat up really fast when shooting them, anyone know anything about them?

The PSP model heats up faster than the M8 due to the M8 having a plastic heat shield at the top of the trigger guard. I have never burned myself badly but I think if you were to blast a few hundred rounds in a short period of time one would burn the top of their trigger finger... The ones I have measured have all been longer than 105mm...
 
Prices in the US have gone down with the surplus German PSP's coming in, but those are used pistols of the older type. New P7M8's usually fetch prices anywhere from $1300 USD and up. They're a lot more here, the last M8 I saw went for a VERY generous $1550 and had 800 rounds on it. A like-new or mint gun will probably cost around $2000 and appreciating rapidly since they're no longer made. Walt is bringing in Grade B PSP's for a great price, grab this chance to get this unique gun!

Like DAR 701 said, they do get toasty after about 6 magazines fired in rapid succession, but the operating system and manual of arms make this pistol the most natural pointing and accurate compact ever made. Also one of the most expensive pistols, the production costs were so overwhelming for HK compared to the relatively small sales volumes that they discontinued production in favour of their polymer guns. Hi all

I have looking for a P7M8 also and here in canada I found a new 2007 limited production going for $2000.00CDN.

In the US these new 2007 HK NIB limited production models have a varying price between $1375.00 to $1800.00 or so US depending on the gun shop much cheaper than here in Canada.

The ones that I have seen that have been around $1800.00 to $2,500.00 US were original NIB production models from the 70's that claim to have never never fired.

I am still looking for a reasonably priced HK NIB limited production model about $1500.00 CDN but like most every thing else that is sold here in Canada they are more expensive than in the US Go figure!
 
i must have found the wrong info in regards to barrel length.

i was looking to pic one up when my licence arrives but was put off by the fact that they heat up quick, but i suppose 6 mags is alot of shooting and i shouldnt worry

No, it isn't that big of a problem, it was simply not designed for rapid fire mag dumps but rather quick deployment, safety and accuracy.

A NIB recent production P7 will run you above $2000 and increasing. Providing that you even find someone willing to let go of this unique piece of small arms history. Yeah, I'm a cultist.
 
Make sure you're looking at a P7M8 rather than a PSP.

There are various differences (some PSPs have heel mag releases) and the trigger guard is smaller, but most significantly the M8 has a heat shield.

IMHO the M8 is worth the extra couple of hundred.

Extra couple of hundred (as in $200), maybe. Extra $700-1000, no.
 
There is a P7 in VG+ condition in the EE. Check it out.

As for worth, with great guns like M&Ps in the range of $500 new, the discussion of what things are worth is kind of moot. I got the last NIB M13 in Canada (below). With Nill grips and 8 spare mags we're talking about $3,500. Is it worth it? To me, yes. To someone else a custom Nighthawk 1911 .45 would be more so and yet to others a 50" plasma TV would be considered value and our guns worthless (or even dangerous) junk. As I have said elsewhere, none of this is rational.
