I want mine to look like this
x95-full-length-overwatch-4.jpg

Are dimensions and ergonomics on the 9mm version largely the same as the .223 version?

I want to handle one of these before I drop $3K on it. Seems like they're pretty scarce at the local gun stores, but there's a 9mm one in Tillsonburg I could go manhandle as a proxy.

The size and shape of the magazines being different slightly alters the "feel," especially if you employ the 5-point grip, or whatever it's called. But other than that they are the same.

If the bolt release was accessible with the index finger while maintaining a shooting grip, it would be the perfect rifle, I have an x95 in .223 and a b&t in .223 and I prefer to shoot the x95. Mind you, the bolt release is very intuitive and makes sense where it is, just need time to practice!

I agree it makes sense where it is considering it's a bullpup, but I just have to get used to handling the gun when storing or transporting the gun with the bolt release engaged. Almost invariably, if not careful when handling it in this way, it gets inadvertently gets pressed and the subsequent noise freaks me out. Especially keeping it stored this way and then taking it out of the safe and it bumps into another gun. I think it's just getting used to where it is and remember that when handling it - or not storing or transporting it with the bolt catch engaged.

Totally get why it's there, though and I saw Tom from IWI explaining a good strategy for loading a mag and releasing the bolt in one fluid motion.

Yes I’m sure with some more range time I won’t even notice it anymore!

I have the pistol grip on mine so a standard trigger lock works, you can always store / transport it with the bolt closed unto a chamber flag or something.

Yup, that's exactly what I do - I have a bore light fluorescent cane thing doubling as a chamber flag.

I hear ya regarding trigger time and range. I just joined a new range, so looking forward to spending many weekends there.

Geissele Super Sabra Trigger Back In Stock!!!

these were pulled out of production over a year ago, geissele has fallen completely silent on them… literally unobtainable today, not even on the used market.

Today it appears the only aftermarket trigger pack option is to back order/import a tav-d drop in trigger pack (in either delrin or aluminum housing) from shooting sight in the usa, estimated to be available late august. Stay away from the timney, they break very very fast and zero support.

On that note i still have a wtb ad up in the ee for a super sabra trigger pack… never should have sold the first one i imported from brownells for $600 a year ago.

Heads up!
After looking every day for over a year and being on wait lists everywhere for the same period arms east finally got a couple in and sent me an email a couple hours ago... don’t delay and Good luck!

X2, even came through with the PM to let me know. I love this man. Just need to find a lightning bow now and figure out which optic I want to put on it. Leaning heavily towards eotech.

actually still on the hunt for a thin butt plate and pistol grip, they seem hard to come by
