I am always amused at the profound effect of US SOF on the tacticool market - MLOC, Pic' rails, Multicam, MOLLE 5.11 style bags and gear, brain pan helmets, noise cancelling muffs, quick on/off suppressors, and nylon soft soled boots. Everyone dresses the same, and now included the Russians.

Very nice Russian made commercial. Not sure about now, but when I lived there in early 90's that scenario seemed like a regular day occurrence for some people.

Agreed. Everyone wants to be a part of task force without being in the TF. It's hilarious and somewhat sad. SOF guys have to use certain gear and TTP to do their jobs, other people just want to look the part. I get why the Russians and Chinese emulate the US, because the US has learned tons of SOF lessons over 20 years and it's free info for the competition...but civilians who take themselves too seriously and go full "sheepdog" really crack me up.
