I don't think any 686s came with Coke Bottle grips...I had a 1985 vintage 686 and it had the usual 1980s vintage Target Grips, which, while they looked nice, I didn't care for at all. They were too slippery but also with too sharp checkering, and they were too small at the top, too big at the bottom. I was happy to replace mine with Ahrends (which are sadly no longer available) or VZ grips.The 586/686 series revolvers with the adjustable front sight are highly desirable as they have no MIM parts, had better production values than current stuff IMHO & had the OEM highly desirable *come-bottle* oversize walnut grips. If your 686 is in better than 85% condition, it’s easily worth $900.00.
