Our 4th match in the Modern Rifle Competition series and this one has a twist. This match will focus on milsurp rifles such as Enfields, SKS, Mosin Nagant, k31, etc. Similar course of fire to MRC matches with surplus rifles. Divisions will be semi-auto irons, semi auto optics, manual irons and manual optics. There will also be an Open division for those that want to shoot but don’t have or don’t want to use vintage milsurp rifles and pistols. Bonuses points awarded for period correct kit and costuming.
Pistols / Revolvers such as 1911, Enfield, Nagant, Luger, or any typical issued pistol for the times. Modern pistols can be used in Vintage classes however iron sights only permitted - Optics on pistols will bump the shooter to Open division. Bayonets for rifles will be used for some stages. If lacking a bayonet, charge with knife is permitted.
Rifles, pistols and kit to be replica or original to 1975 and earlier. No prohibited rifles unfortunately.

Legal Stuff:
If you miss the safety briefing you will not be permitted to shoot. Refunds will be subject to $5.00 admin fee

Interesting. In regards to pistols, are modernized versions of classic designs, IE railed and tac'd up 1911's (DW specialist), acceptable in the vintage classes if they are iron sights only?

Also, black badge required?

The Idea for the match is to not limit people too much if they only have one pistol and it happens to be a 1911 with a rail. Pistols with red dots will be bumped into open class but Fibre optic sights will remain in standard.

Black badge not required as the pistol will be holstered with no round in the chamber. When using pistol you unholster and then rack the slide or advance to the next cylinder with regard to revolver.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

How many stages?

Max rifle distance?

I have period correct gear for rifle, but not pistol (kydex). That alright?

I've gotta take me swede Mauser out finally and see how it shoots, but I am definitely interested. Once I get a bit of time with it and see where I'm at, I should be down to come play
