I'm looking at Foxpro Patriot and Foxpro Inferno. Is one preferable over the other? Is there anything better in the same price range? It's for coyotes.

I have an older model, I think it's a crossfire 2. Nice units but way overpriced in my opinion. You can get nicer sounding sound files from online sources that you can put in your phone and hook to an external speaker. Buy a quality speaker and you are far better off than what you pay for a FoxPro in my opinion from the one's I have heard that friends have.

I have the inferno as well. Iirc the patriot and inferno are pretty similar and I think the inferno has “foxbang” but the patriot doesn’t. The remotes for each are different but I have no idea which is better, all I can say is that the inferno remote is easy to use and navigate. I have the foxjack attachment for mine and really like being able to add that feature - because the patriot looks so similar I imagine it would also be compatible but that might be something worth confirming before deciding which is best.

My buddy has the patriot. It seems to work but I find the calls don't sound as authentic as from my prairie blaster. But that is most likely speaker quality. Price point is also much less. Not sure about the options on the patriot but it's a lot lighter to pack around. Also it did not come with a cable for downloading sounds which was an extra purchase. No experience with the inferno.

Take a look at Icotec. Ive been using one for 5 years or so and its been very easy to use and upload sounds. Clear sounds with plenty of volume, good wireless range and great battery life.

My Crossfire 2 has the same features with Foxbang and I can load 22 pre set call sequences, capacity for 500 call sound files of which I have about 125....also have the foxjack attachment. It really draws hawks and magpies! LOL

I concur, the sound files do not sound as realistic as some other models and I think it's the speaker quality.

OP if you get one my advice is run lithium batteries or rechargeables. They eat alkaline batteries at a horrendous rate especially in the cold.....

Another E-caller you should consider is the Lucky Duck Revolt. Sounds realistic, Good selection of sounds, built in decoy and good range on the remote. Build quality could be a bit better but all in its a good buy in my opinion
