The folding stock plate is definitely a reddish brown not brown, it’s a pretty close match. Taking a picture makes its look different depending on the light and angle. Thanks TI for getting these in can’t wait to get a bunch of rounds through it!

Do you mean you did not get shipping notice till you received the rifle? Mine is 125**

Order update from TI at 8:15am today with tracking number saying will be delivered by tomorrow. Checked a hour later said notice card left at post office.

Rifle in hand. Fixed stock.

Couple observations: (Note, this is a completely unscientific sample size of 1. Your mileage may vary).

- Rifle is bone dry, different than the previous soaked batches. Will need a good oiling / greasing on moving surfaces before use).
- Finish is OK, typical combloc and will flake with use.
- Red is a very attractive colour, and I like it a lot.
- Some nicks and dents from the factory on some metal and wood parts (China doesn't care much about the end consumer once the product is sold).
- Appears somewhat straight, but may have slight bend. That being said, it may be an optical illusion because the gas block, handguard, and stock all have their own tolerance margins and everything may not line up. I suspect all within spec, after all this is a Chinese mass produced rifle.
- No S/N on any parts other than receiver.
- No GL retention ring, unlike other previous batches (LMG excluded as it has none).
- Phosphate / Parkerizing differs on all parts, but generally even.
- Handguard metal is Phosphate / Parkerized. This is better than the Phosphate LMG's which came with a blued handguard.
- No ugly paint used to hide anything unlike on some previous batches.
- Fit and finish is better than the last batch.
- No small pins are staked, unlike the last batch which had the mag release pin, and rear sight pins staked.
- Front sight has alignment stake, meaning they test fired it for POI. Nice.
- Front sight post dead centre in assembly. Nice. (Others have been far to one side).
- Chrome is nice and thick, not thin and fading like some previous imports.
- Front sight block slightly different than my older rifles were, there is an added hole for cleaning the gas hole / barrel area. Neat.
- Bore is filthy. Sooty with crud and unburnt powder. Cleaned up fine. Would it have hurt for the factory to run a patch after test firing?

Overall, it looks nice. I am happy with it.

Don't expect a top tier quality rifle, but it puts function over looks.

Edit: I will also add, my colleague received a folder, and I prefer the look of the fixed in this batch. Very AK-esque in appearance. :)

TI ships out faster than previously thought. Got my tracking today and it says that it was already shipped out on the 23rd and will be at the PO today.

Good job TI.

I received my mags and rail early this morning. Tracking says one of my guns should be here by end of day. No word on the other one I ordered

Any word on next batch? I missed the boat on this. Would do terrible things to get my hands on a fixed stock one with that furniture.

Same, I did hear back though, sounds like there will be more batches and the next one will be before the years out. I imagine closer to Christmas but either way it’ll be over the course of the next couple months.

Thanks for the info! Now the hard part for me is catching the drop when it happens before the people more interested in profiting off of fellow enthusiasts snatch them all up in the first hour by buying multiple same rifles with the sole intention of reselling at a huge markup. I'd even be ok with pre-ordering and pre-paying but I know TI doesn't do that.

Hi TI, I received the rifle, but unfortunately you sent me a wrong one. What I ordered is a SE Folding Stock, and you send me a SE OR Folding stock, the safety switch is on the right side of the receiver. Please contact me and arrange a replace. Thanks.
